Police firearm discharges at public school

I am having a number of difficulties with the official story here.

Firstly, the officer should always have situational awareness of anyone near his firearm. As someone who has officers, and is frequently armed on duty, I am always aware of anyone near my person, much less close enough to touch my duty belt.

Secondly, I would be very curious to learn of the firearm / holster combination. There are quite a few holsters out there, but I own and have used most of the level III offerings that are common in law enforcement, none of which would allow even a small child’s finger access to the trigger. Some firearms have multiple offerings in slightly different sizes and configurations (Smith & Wesson, Glock, Sig Sauer, etc), so the possibility that an incorrect firearm / holster combination was used is possible.

We will update this story if more information becomes available.
